The character, named Shikamaru Nara, was based on Prabu Siliwangi’s character. Not only that, but Prabu Siliwangi’s legacy also inspired the creation of the Siliwangi Division or “Divisi Siliwangi” in the Indonesian army. Established in 1948, after Indonesia gained independence from the Dutch colonizers, the division was named after Prabu Siliwangi to honor his bravery and contribution to the country. The division is still active today and based in the city of Bandung, West Java.
